Vintage WW2 Era Photo Negative
Neville Street & Old Coliseum Cinema
Southport, England
~ Aug 1945 ~
This historic photo negative has a lot of detail. Although a little overexposed - this is one of those cases where my scanner tries to compensate and artificially brightens the image. If I zoom in on a specific area - the detail (like the area I chose) scans better. The old Coliseum Cinema was demolished in 1960. Negative is in pretty great condition as seen.
This negative comes from a large collection belonging to a U.S. Army photographer who served in the European Theater during WWII. Most of the negatives measure approx. 2.25 x 3.25 inches. These were all stored inside small manila envelopes with short typed descriptions including month and year. Most images were taken in the autumn of 1945. Some negatives are scratched, some have fingerprints or other damages, and some look great. Please examine image as best description for condition.
Note to Overseas Buyers
: Negatives that are in stable condition can be shipped for .00 flat rate. Multiple auction purchases please wait for combined shipping invoice. Some negatives, however, are somewhat curled and brittle. These will need to be shipped in a small box to keep them safe and will show a higher shipping rate.
Images were chosen for their possible rarity and historic value rather than always on their condition
. If you are concerned about a certain image's condition and I haven't explained it thoroughly in the first paragraph ~ please write and ask.
Negative Measures 2.25 x 3.25 Inches.
