    Description

    Scarce early original vintage “OFFICIAL U.S. NAVY PHOTOGRAPH” shows a few US Navy enlisted men on liberty as they were training for the D Day invasion.
    They are visiting the remains of an English church wreaked during a Luftwaffe raid.
    Caption on back goes into more detail (see scan).
    Photograph measures 8 x 10 inches and is in good condition with light emulsion bends and chip missing from top right corner(see scans). The image is very sharp and has strong tones with good contrast and clarity.
